Cruicetown Cemetery Conservation Committee Mass Sunday 31st July

Upcoming Mass on Sunday 31st July at Cruicetown

 

A Mass will be offered in Cruicetown Cemetery at 5pm on Sunday 31st July,
on the day of The Blessing of the Graves - Cemetery Sunday. It will be
celebrated by Fr Seamus Houlihan, Parish Priest Nobber.

The next meeting of Cruicetown Cemetery Conservation Committee is on Tuesday 19th July in Nobber Parochial House.

The Cruicetown Cemetery Conservation Committee would be very intertested in
contacting family members of those interred in the graveyard to contribute
towards the research into its history. The Cruicetown Cemetery Conservation Committee is compiling a thorough history and research of the graveyard.

The Committee plans to make contact with families and relatives of known burials in
Cruicetown.  Members, as part of the
research, are checking burial records in Nobber and neighbouring parishes and
are checking many other different sources for information on the cemetery’s
history.


The AGM of Cruicetown Cemetery Conservation Committee was held recently.

 

The officerboard is The committee is President, Fr. Seamus
Houlihan PP, Chairman, John Corbally; Secretary, Oliver Ward; Treasurer, Frank
Brady and PRO, Denis Finegan. Committee Members Gerald Brady, Renée Clarke,
Peter Corbally, Ann Finnegan, Bridie McEntee, John Joe and Nuala McGuinness,
Benny Naulty and Albert Rogers.

New committee members include James Galligan, Christopher O’Reilly, Ann
McDowell and Henry Cruise.

Cruicetown Cemetery Conservation Committee Meeting held in March

Cruicetown Cemetery Conservation Committee  held a meeting in the Parochial House, Nobber, on Monday, 21st of March 2011.

It was decided at the meeting, which was attended by Fr Seamus Houlihan, Parish Priest, Nobber, that a Mass will be held in Cruicetown Cemetery at 5pm on Sunday July 31st, on the day of The Blessing of the Graves (Cemetery Sunday).

The AGM of Cruicetown Cemetery Conservation Committee is on Tuesday 17th May in Nobber Community Hall. Speakers will address the meeting on topics discussing the history of Cruicetown Cemetery.
